By accessing and using Homeducate, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our Service.

2. Service Description

Homeducate provides a web-based homeschool management platform for GCSE students and their families, including timetable management, progress tracking, assignment management, and portfolio generation.

3. User Accounts

Account Creation: You must be 18+ to create a parent/guardian account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

Account Security: Use a strong password and do not share your login details. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

Student Accounts: Parents/guardians can create student accounts for their children. Parents have full control over student accounts.

4. Subscription Terms

4.1 Free Trial

We offer a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card required. Trial automatically expires after 14 days unless you subscribe.

4.2 Pricing

• Monthly Plan: £6.99/month, billed monthly
• Annual Plan: £59.99/year, billed annually
• All plans support up to 5 students per family

4.3 Auto-Renewal

Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time from your account settings via the Stripe Billing Portal.

4.4 Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription anytime. Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current billing period. Your data is retained for 30 days after subscription ends, then permanently deleted.

4.5 Refunds

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers. No refunds for renewal subscriptions or after 14 days. See our Refund Policy for details.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Upload malicious code or viruses
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Share your account with others outside your family
• Abuse or harass our support team
• Reverse engineer or copy our software
• Use the Service to store inappropriate content

6. Intellectual Property

Our Content: Homeducate owns all rights to the platform, including code, design, GCSE structures, and features.

Your Content: You retain ownership of all educational data you enter (timetables, work logs, notes, etc.). You grant us a license to store and process this data to provide the Service.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of Homeducate is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We are GDPR compliant and committed to protecting your data.

8. Limitation of Liability

Homeducate is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for:

• Loss of data due to user error
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Educational outcomes or exam results
• Indirect or consequential damages

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months.

9. Termination

We may terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your access ends immediately and data is deleted after 30 days.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in UK courts.
